Little Gabby Meets Her New Family
New Children’s Book IntroducesGabby, a Loveable Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
ROCKWALL, Texas – The first in a series of rhymingstories, LittleGabby Meets Her New Family (published by AuthorHouse),the new illustrated children’s book by K.R. Watson, introduces a tri-colored Cavalier King CharlesSpaniel puppy, Gabby, who embarks on many adventures.
Gabby, who lives in a fancy housealong with her litter mates is treated like a lady from the start and actsaccordingly. The puppies are cared for by their breeder, Pat. Although they arefeisty and often make a mess of Pat’s home, she cannot deny that she lovescuddling up at night with her six dogs.
Soon, Gabby makes a new friend inMel, a bouncy, blonde-haired girl who comes to visit. Watson writes:
Gabby got used to Mel’s sweet littleface
and thought of Mel’s lap as herfavorite place.
Mel would eat cupcakes with her momand Pat
with Gabby curled up like aninnocent cat.
Then she would pounce on the cake orgive a lick
in hoping affection would do thetrick.
One day, Mel and her mom take Gabbyaway to live with them. Gabby is terrified to be taken away from Pat’s home andcries. But not for long! At Mel’s, Gabby meets Luke, another Cavalier, andfeels right at home. This is the beginning of many adventures with Luke andother dogs such as Wyatt, a German Shepherd mix, and Morgan, an AustralianShepherd.
Each book in the series is writtenin rhyming couplets and conveys strong moral messages for children to learnwhile enjoying the illustrations.
